Today’s e-mail question is, “What’s a good way to end a conversation in English?”
These expressions will tell the other person that the conversation will end soon.
Eliz: Can you give an example?
Eliz: I see.
Then, you could say, “Say hello to your family.”
Eliz: Or, “Good luck with your new job.”
These expressions are a friendly way to prepare for the end of a conversation, before you say Good-bye.

In today’s Business Dialog, we can hear many expressions that can be used at the end of conversation.
After a pause in the conversation, Jenny says “Well, it’s been nice talking to you.”
She uses both a pause and the word “Well” to bring the conversation to a close.
Albert: So I really think that technology stocks will go back up in the future.
Jenny: I certainly hope so.
(pause) Well, Albert, it’s been nice talking to you.
I really have to go.
A very common form of pre-closing is to send greetings to other people, such as spouses or co-workers, as in this example.
Albert: Well, I’m really glad that I ran into you.
Say hello to Harry.
Jenny: I will. And please tell Mary that I’ll call her tomorrow about tennis.
Albert: I’ll do that.
Mr. Epstein says, “Well, let’s keep in touch,” and Mr. Blake says “Thanks for calling” and “Good luck with your new job.”
